In other breaking news... we made our first Plot Snowmen this week! I love these guys! We use small paper plates and I cut out the hats from black construction paper. The kids write the title of the book on the hat in white crayon and the beginning, middle, and end on each plate. Check it out:
Also.... my ELF ON A SHELF came today! I had the office call down and tell me that I had a special delivery. I picked it up on our way to lunch and the kids had a lot of fun guessing what it was after I told them it was from the North Pole. After lunch we opened the package and read the story that comes with the elf. My kids voted to name our elf Fred (they were very excited about the name Fred... which I will admit I personally like better than "Elf" or "Elf Shelf" which were two other suggestions). c: After we put Fred on the shelf all of the kids were walking up to him and whispering up to him about what they wanted for Christmas! I have to admit... I'm tempted to tell good ol' Fred what I want for Christmas too!
Well, it's back to writing subplans for me! Hope everyone has a wonderful night!

Love the Plot Snowman! We read "The Biggest, Best, Snowman" and we do something similar for a book report (I also include setting, characters, etc.), but I totally LOVE the plates :)
